Some time ago, I came across the blog of Dan Alatorre. Have no idea how I got there, but have been following it ever since, and always read something good when I drop in. He provides useful information about writing and publishing, and always throws in a candid remark that catches me off guard, but keeps it real. I love how Dan’s blog is centered around all aspects of writing, and how he is sharing this journey with anyone who wants to follow. As an aspiring writer myself, the information he provides is invaluable.
So when he recently put the call out for Beta Readers for his upcoming novel, I thought this outta be fun. Plus he said it was kind of a big deal, and you know what? It was!! This is the book I had mentioned that I was doing the beta read for in some of my Monday posts, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Dan is an exceptional writer. This book grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go. It has all the ingredients for a great summer read. A suspenseful time travel story, seasoned with entertaining characters, and peppered with a little romance, what’s not to love!!

I have enjoyed following this process and seeing what it takes to publish a book. I know myself, being an avid reader, we just take for granted buying a book, or checking one out from the library, not even thinking about what all has gone into writing it and getting it in our hands to enjoy.
