ann-ie-how (ann’e-hou’)

My name is Carrie Ann, I am a wife, homeschool mom of 4 children, and now a blogger.  I have been married to my wonderful husband Cook, for 17 years.  I have been homeschooling my children from the very beginning.  My oldest are Joshua & Olivia, who are twins, they will be turning 13 this year.  I have a seven year old son, Elijah, and Benji, my 3 year old, who was born on the 4th of July.  My husband is the one who calls me Annie.  When we first meet people, they get confused easily, because he introduces me as Carrie, but 2 seconds later he’ll call me Annie.  “Anniehow”.

Writing is something I have wanted to do for a long time.  I can remember when I was really young, that I wanted to be a writer.  (My mom says I wanted to be a check-out girl, or a baton twirler, ummm, I don’t remember that).  I was so fascinated by the writers portrayed on TV or in the movies.  Sitting at their desks with their typewriters, a fresh stack of paper, and a trash can full of crumpled paper, as they began to write their novel.  I also enjoy physically writing, which I don’t think many people do anymore.  One of my first jobs was at a local store that delivered newspapers to everyone.  Every month, bills had to be sent out for people to make payments.  These bills were handwritten.  While the other girls I worked with dreaded doing it, I looked forward to it.  This store also sold office supplies.  Another one of my favorites.  I love pens, notebooks, and CRAYONS!  I can’t wait to buy school supplies for the kids.  When my kids get new crayons, I’ll sit with them and color, it is so relaxing to me.

I am very excited about this blog.  I believe that we go through things, and have experiences to share with other people.  There’s comfort in knowing somebody else is dealing with the same things, or has already gone through things that you might be facing.  I hope that you will find some helpful information, things to make you laugh, ideas that make you think, or comfort and encouragement.   I Look forward to hearing from you.  Feel free to post your comments, or email me at anniehow@rocketmail.com
